Meet
our Executive Chef: Kenny Johnson
Kenny Johnson, Executive Chef at The Columbia Sheraton, is a Baltimore
native. His first memories of food revolved around his family
kitchen and the home cooking of his mother and grandmother.
From early on, Johnson knew he enjoyed creating food to please
his friends and family. He discovered an even greater lesson:
food was something more than just a means to stay alive; it had
the potential to deeply satisfy people on another level.
Johnson first entered the restaurant industry in 1983 at the Suburban
Club of Baltimore County. It was here where his true passion for
cooking was ignited. His greatest accomplishment occurred
after years of hard work and dedication he was promoted to Executive
Chef.
When not showing his culinary skills, Chef Kenny is a member of
American’s Chef’s Association and the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
Of all his accomplishments, Chef Kenny is happiest about his marriage
to his wife Zoreen, his daughters Tiffany and Zakiyyah, and his
son Hasib.
Fun Fact: Chef Kenny was a DJ for some of Baltimore’s
trendiest clubs.
